2018/2019 Job Openings – House Council Executives and IO Coordinators

Good evening Acadia;

On behalf of Emily Murray, VP Student Life, it is my pleasure to announce that the Acadia Students’ Union is opening up the application periods for both House Council Executives and Internal Organization (IO) Coordinators for the 2018/2019 academic year. These are amazing opportunities to get involved with the Acadia Students’ Union, to learn more about what we offer for our students and to work with some phenomenal student leaders in the process.

The deadline for both opportunities is 4:00 PM on Thursday, March 1st, 2018 and more information on how to apply is located within the job postings and job descriptions below.

House Councils

For on-campus students, after recent changes to House Council composition, we will now have three (3) hired positions on the House Council Executive of each residence. These will be a President, VP Communications and VP Events. House Councils are created by the Acadia Students’ Union to foster a sense of community among on-campus students and to plan fun and engaging events for their residents. For more information on applying to be part of next year’s House Council Executives, check out the job posting on the Acadia Students’ Union website here.

Internal Organizations

Internal Organizations (IOs) are created by the Acadia Students’ Union to provide information and services to Acadia students on an ongoing basis. Each year, the Acadia Students’ Union hired a Coordinator to run each of the Internal Organizations. For more information on how to apply to be one of our Internal Organization Coordinators, visit the job posting on the Acadia Students’ Union website here.

These are the Internal Organizations that are currently looking for new Coordinators for 2018/2019.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me anytime by email at asu.chairperson@acadiau.ca or stop by my office (Old SUB 628) during my weekly office hours.
